What's it about? Seven-disc boxed set featuring all 24 episodes of the US drama's second series. This time Jack Bauer (Kiefer Sutherland) is up against a Middle Eastern terrorist organisation, called Second Wave, who plan to detonate a nuclear device over Los Angeles.
Any good? As in series one, proceedings sag a little in the middle, but a cracking first few episodes, a nail-biting climax and some inspired twists still make this essential viewing. Fans of series one will be delighted by the return of Sarah Clarke as wonderfully wicked Nina Myers.
Look out for: Alan Dale, aka Jim Robinson from Neighbours, who appears, sans Aussie accent and Jason Donovan, as US Vice-President Jim Prescott.
Extras: No less than 45 deleted scenes which can be viewed independently or as part of the episodes they were originally intended for. They all have their own commentaries too. There's also an excellent two-part documentary - 24 Exposed - running to nearly 100 minutes, and a featurette focusing on the destruction of the CTU building. As if all that wasn't enough, episode commentaries are provided by most of the cast, including Sarah Wynter (who plays Kate Warner), Dennis Haysbert (President Palmer) and Sutherland himself.
