DVD of the Week - The Hills Have Eyes? Hmmm, shouldda gone to SpecSavers...

WHAT'S IT ABOUT? Intelligent remake of 1977 Wes Craven thriller. A family camper van-load of holidaymakers get savaged by puss-headed radiation victims. Which is unfortunate.

ANY GOOD? Dangerously similar to Craven's original, but with a brutaller climax (word invention alert!) and an unhealthily large quantity of jumpy bits.

A BIT LIKE: An X-rated Home Alone for sick bastards. A cannibal's special of Gordon Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares.
