WHAT'S IT ABOUT? US series of one-off chillers from horror legends. John 'Halloween' Carpenter directs mystery of an unholy movie, and Stuart 'Re-Animator' Gordon tells tale of a dimension-travelling witch(!).

ANY GOOD? Typical made-for-TV hamminess, but compelling nonetheless - like old TV series The Hunger with added splatter.

THUMBS UP: Inventive use of a film projector and man's intenstines; Student waking up on top of gnarled hag with veiny breasts!

THUMBS OFF: The laughable rat with a human's face in Gordon's turn - proves he had a FX budget of about 38p!
