WHAT'S IT ABOUT? Fourth part of Romero's zombie series. A 'utopian' city  comes under siege from an army of walking carcasses. Residents complain of widespread pungent stenches.

ANY GOOD? Plenty of gore and no sprinter zombies, but lacking the edge and subtletly of Romero's previous flesh fests.

BEST BITS: Dennis Hopper's dictator inadvertently offering an intestinal supper to the zombie leader. Lack of brown sauce angers the latter.

EXTRAS: Featurettes, deleted scenes and an audio commentary from George Romero, who is apparently 8 foot 7 in real-life.
