We've seen some duff 'special edition' DVDs in our time. The 25th birthday of the seminal rock mockumentary, fortunately, does not stumble into that camp. It indeed twiddles the knob up to 11. Any more extras on this three-disc whopper and Motorhead roadies will be using them to benchpress. Some of them are surprisingly watchable, too.

As well as a remastered cut of the 1984 film, This Is Spinal Tap: 25h Anniversary Edition highlights include a new exclusive documentary (featuring celebs and bands verbally tossing off over their fave comedy), follow-up re-union show 'The Return Of Spinal Tap', over one-hour of out-takes, audio commentaries, 'Live Earth' short film and various featurettes and interviews. Basically, shedloads of music documentary spoofing absurdness.
