Curious Case Of Benjamin Button

A story about a man who lives his life in reverse sounds like the sort of weirdy, genius madness that have spawned from Charles Kaufman's mind. Yet, as fantastical as the Benajmin Button reads, this is a Forrest Gump-y, family friendly 'love story' with one clear goal in mind - to bag Oscars!

Brad Pitt is pretty brilliant as the baby boy who pops out of his mother's womb in a wrinkly, arthritic body. As he 'grows up' though, his body becomes younger, and he ends up meeting the young girl he fell in love with at a half-way point, when their ages cross.

Compelling, heartwarming and predictably sad, it's relatively easy to overlook Benjamin's blatant Hollywood gloss, and lap up the dreamy fairytale-ness instead. (Oh, and it won 3 Oscars, by the way).
