A gunslinging mercenary trundles into a stand-off between two sadistic armies, and offers his services to whoever can offer him the largest bounty. Firing off exotic set-pieces in between dreamy, slow-paced drama, and featuring a cameo from Quentin Tarantino's large chin, it's brutal, Sergio Leone-inspired enjoyment.
