Day Watch

The middle slice of a Russian fantasy trilogy of vampires and witches, this is a bit like Lord Of The Rings meets Blade, but in a wintry Moscow. The plot, which centres around a time-manipulating piece of chalk (as you were) is headscratchingly silly, but darn it, it sure as hell works. Plus, it even has a bit of girl-on-girl when the film's hero swaps bodies with a female colleague. Wish we could do that.
