Maxim have sponsored their own BMW for this year's British Touring Car Championship. Typically, our driver Mat Jackson is proving to be something of a maverick favourite.
The BTCC has been on the go for 49-years now, featuring along the way such great British names as Jaguar, Austin, Mini, Lotus and Triumph. It boomed in the '90s with dirty moves, crashes, controversy, drama, heroes and villains. It is one of Motorsport's biggest overnight success stories.
This is Mat's first BTCC season - but as 2006 Cupra Champion he's already he's pushing the pace. "There's a lot more to come in terms of speed and time from me and the car. In testing we were nowhere near our maximum pace," says Mat.
